- There are two types of tube feeding:
- An NG tube is a bendy plastic tube that goes up your nose, down your throat into your tummy.
- Food and drink goes through this tube straight into your tummy.
- Or, a gastrostomy button, sometimes called a PEG.
- A PEG tube goes straight into your tummy through your abdomen.
- Food or drink goes straight into your stomach through a PEG tube.
